-Day visits for playtime, feedings, & clean-up etc. This can be set up for multiple visits a day if needed.
What can we do for you?
-There is no typical client. There are many reasons people hire a pet care provider. Sometimes it's a busy schedule at work or with family. Sometimes it is someone who is unable to care for their pet due to a health or other issue. Sometimes it's someone who just wants to free up some personal time... sometimes it's someone who is going to be away from home for a few days.
So many reasons!
- What kind of mess is being tracked from your yard into your home? Our rainy, sometimes muddy yards make it important to keep up on the pet waste.
- Spread of Disease: Dog waste contains harmful bacteria, parasites, and viruses like E. coli, Salmonella, and Giardia, which can spread to humans and other animals.
- Contamination of Water Sources: When left on the ground, dog waste can be washed into storm drains and local water sources, polluting rivers, lakes, and streams with harmful pathogens.
- Parasite Transmission: Dog feces can harbor parasites like roundworms and hookworms, which can infect humans, especially children playing in contaminated areas.
- Environmental Impact: Dog waste is high in nitrogen and phosphorus, contributing to algal blooms in water bodies that harm aquatic ecosystems and reduce oxygen levels.
- Foul Odor: Leftover dog waste produces an unpleasant smell that can degrade the quality of life for neighbors and passersby.
- Attraction of Pests: Uncollected waste can attract flies, rodents, and other pests that spread additional diseases.
- Public Health Risk: Bacteria and parasites from dog feces can linger in soil, creating long-term health hazards for humans and other animals using the area.
- Decreased Community Cleanliness: Failing to pick up waste creates unsightly messes in public spaces, parks, and neighborhoods, discouraging community engagement and outdoor activities.
- Risk to Other Pets: Dogs that come into contact with contaminated waste can contract illnesses or parasites, spreading them further.
- Violation of Local Laws: Many municipalities have regulations requiring pet owners to clean up after their pets, with fines for non-compliance, emphasizing the health and community importance of this practice.
Let's face it, poo in your yard is yucky!
We always keep the safety of the pets in our care, the community and our staff in mind when considering which pets to accept into our care and which services to offer. We must adhere to our insurance coverages so there are some animals we are not allowed to care for such as reptiles, horses and other livestock.
We may offer to do day visits as opposed to taking your dog on public outings. We reserve the right to decline services if we feel we can't offer the best care for the situation. We do not accept aggressive dogs or dogs with certain reactive issues.
We are happy to refer you and your pet to local dog trainers and behaviorists if this is something you would like!
No, we offer day visits only.
There are a couple of ways we can set up entry to your home if doing Pet Visits or Dog Outings while you are away.
-We can set up a key lock box on your door or other location, so the key never leaves your property.
-We can keep your door key in our key lockbox at our office. We have a key system in place and a lost key rider on our insurance for added piece of mind.
-You can assign us a unique code for your electronic lock.
-We have body cams to wear while at your home, you can opt in or out.
We will always exercise the utmost in care while at your home!
If you are working or need to be away from home on your waste removal day:
-In most situations we will just let ourselves into your yard, but PLEASE NOTE: There can't be any pets in the yard while we are cleaning. Please keep your dog/s inside the home during the time window on your waste removal day or we are happy to know and let you know we have arrived.
-If you have a locking gate: We can take a key, or you can assign us a unique code for your electronic gate lock.
-If you schedule a Day Visit, our care provider can clean your yard after letting your dog/s out.
We will always be as thorough and quick as possible!
We will provide the scoops, buckets, bags, gloves, pet/environmentally friendly cleaner, etc... you will help with:
-For residential pet waste in your yard: We will need access to the yard and recommend having access water source so we may clean up messes if applicable.
-For changing/cleaning litter boxes, cages: You must provide the kitty litter or bedding etc and a water source.
-For commercial clients: We will place waste and trash in your business trash receptacle.
